I've had a couple search issues in the last few days where I searched the Hot Deals forum with the title search right above the forum ... and some threads did not come up. For example, today, I searched for "Cold" ... and this Cold Stone thread did not show: Another example ... I was searching for the Amazon 15 days/15 video games thread. A search for +Amazon +video does not show this thread: This makes it difficult when I want to go back to a thread I remember, but do not want to sift through a bunch of other threads (as was the case for both of these). |

This happened with someone else earlier tonight. :/ The site search box, even if you click the "forums" tab seems to be working great, but the title search from within the individual forums doesn't seem to have quite "fresh" results... If there's an issue, I'm sure it'll be addressed asap! |

Funny... I noticed a problem with the "Title search". So I come here and searched for "search", and the newest thread it found was 6 days old. This thread is only 3 days old. My problem is, I was trying to find a Lowes thread from 4 days ago, and couldn't. I did find it by paging through, and it's right next to another Lowes thread that search didn't find. Search did find a newer thread, so it's not just stale indexing. Oh well, hope to see it fixed soon. |

I've noticed that the search misses many hits. I'd search for a deal that I just knew I saw posted the day earlier and couldn't find it. Sure enough, I posted a deal yesterday here: http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/888031 The title is "Logitech G11 Gaming Keyboard - $46.88 Amazon ($10 MIR) Free Ship" If I do a search on G11, Logitech or any other word in the title using the search titles bar at the top of the forum screen it doesn't return this as a hit. Entering "G11" actually returns no hits of any messages. Enter G11 in the "Forums" search and get a hit. Odd that FW Admin hasn't even posted a "we're looking into it" message in this thread. |

I have been having problem's with recently posted items NOT showing up during a search, then I end up posting what is essentially a repost, because the search is FUBAR'd. Just requested a thread deletion, after finding out that the same post was made earlier, and bumped up to the first page by replies. |

Muffin Mod PM'd me, and I sent a reply through support. It's the title search in the forum, such as FS or GC, not the Forum Search link. More recently posted items do not show up in title searches. However, on one search, I did try the Forum Search link, and still did not find the thread, and had to manually scroll through pages of posts to find the post-in-question. Again, it was a post that had been posted within the last 24 hours, that did not come up in search. |
