help with Nintendo DS ? which one in: Recommendation Needed

OK this is lame , but I am an old fart so ...

 

Son wants a "DS" from the santa monster,, if I were to get it instead of Santa what is the current one to buy?


I see DS "lite" everywhere , is that the one or are there others?

Yes, you want a DS Lite. Check Amazon as they have all the different colors and even a couple of special edition ones.

DS Lite but a new model is coming next year I guess.

Yes the next version is coming out next year (the dsi) but it's not really much of an improvement. It's a bit thinner, a little bit larger screen, a built in video thing, and worse battery life. The regular ds lite will still be used for a good deal of time to come, it made significant progress from the original ds.

Evilcart - Make sure to buy a set of screen protectors!!! If your kid is still of Santa gifting age you don't want his screen to get dead spots of sensitivity because of scratches on the screen.
