CPG - Continental Promotions Group, aka RebateStatus.com has filed for bankruptcy on November 14, 2008, and ALL outstanding checks are bouncing and the depositor will end up paying bounced deposit fees from their bank.
Refer to the Deal Discussion board for the appropriate thread for addition info. This affect MANY products, companies and consumers. DO NOT DEPOSIT any check from CPG right now. It WILL bounce.

For Office Depot rebates that take more than the promised time to arrive, call the Office Depot executive offices at 800-937-3600 or 561-438-4800 and ask for "Customer Relations". Explain the problem and they'll get you your rebate promptly. (This is only for rebates that are actually offered by Office Depot, not manufacturer's rebates for products that Office Depot sells.) This is especially useful for rebates that are handled by the Express Group for Office Depot.

That's strange, they responded to my complaints against KB Gear and Philips. Maybe they realize we're all talking about the same problems and decided not to respond individually

Anyway, in their reply, they said they won't take any action based on individual complaints. They will, however, take action if they see a trend; i.e. receive lots of complaints against one company.

Anyway, their consumer hotline is 1-877-382-4357 (Same as Lanyap's link )

Yes, it's true. More and more retailers are using rebates as
incentives to entice you into their stores to buy upgrades for your PC.
Unfortunately, the processing of rebates is often a confusing and
tedious process by design.

While rebate programs can work both to the advangage of user and
maufacturer, rebate offers often require a great deal of work to
complete accurately. Making you work hard for your rebate is part
of a numbers game, particularly in those free-bate offers. Less
takers means higher profit margins for vendors.

Be sure you look for the expiration date before investing time
filling out the rebate form. We recently found an expired offer in a
recent weekly advertising insert.

You'll also have to be patient waiting for your rebate check. Some
larger software vendors, like Intuit, often take up to 90 days to
fulfill upgrade rebates to their customers.
